PT. PENGEMBANGAN JAYA PAPUA has partnered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kabupaten Mimika to protect vulnerable workers from social and economic risks they may face during their employment, including work-related accidents and even death.
As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, PT. PJP contributes by paying premiums for 200 vulnerable workers, providing them with up to 6 months of protection. These workers, such as construction laborers, motorcycle taxi drivers, domestic workers, parking attendants, farmers, and others, belong to the informal labor category and are at risk while working without social security protection.
The disbursement of the CSR funds took place during the "SEJAHTERA BERSAMA, APRESIASI DAN PENINGKATAN ENGAGEMENT BERSAMA BPJS KETENAGAKERJAAN" event held on July 18, 2023, at Swissbelinn Hotel Timika, witnessed by the Head of the Department of Manpower of Mimika Regency, Mr. Paulus Yanengga, SH, M.Si, accompanied by the Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan of Mimika Regency, Mr. Rudyanto.
